The World of Hans Zimmer
a Symphonic celebration – Curated by Hans Zimmer – the official live tribute
In collaboration with Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer Michael Balgavy created the production design and video design for the international concert tour „The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration”.
The premiere of the first edition took place in Berlin’s sold out Mercedes Benz arena in April 2018 with the Hans Zimmer on stage. Since then it is touring through the world with huge success–counting over a million guests. Hans Zimmer himself makes surprise visits on stage such as London‘s O2 Arena, Madrid‘s Teatro Real or Vienna’s Konzerthaus.
A full scale orchestra, band and choir conducted by Gavin Greenaway are accompanied with 7 individual LED walls setting the tone for an immersive journey through Hollywood's biggest and smallest blockbusters like Inception, The Pirates of the Caribbeans, The Dark Knight, Lion King, The Da Vinci Code, Gladiator or Rush and The Holiday.
2024 saw a new edition of the beloved concert with an updated set from movies like Dune, Interstellar, The Prince of Egypt or James Bond.
